I think That you will not be able to blow the balloon up when the balloon is in the bottle but when you try it with a hole in the bottle because with the air trapped in the bottle it can not for anything more in the bottle and with the hole in the bottle all the air in the bottle will escape so there is room for the balloon.
Material:
All you need is a pair of scissors, a two 1 liter bottle, a couple of balloons, a nail and a cork.
What to do:
Get a bottle and a balloon stick the balloon on the lip of the bottle then with you finger push the balloon into the bottle, try to blow into the balloon now, will it blow up? Now try with the hole in the bottle.

Hopefully you had a bit of fun trying my experiment and found out what happened. But if you didn't here is what happened. You will not be able to blow the balloon up when it is in the bottle. However, when you try it with a hole in the bottle all the air will have room to escape from the bottle which then allows the balloon to inflate.
Today we did an experiment called the flying ping pong ball. All you kneed is a one of two ping pong balls and a hair dryer.
We had to plug in the hair dryer. Turn on the hair dryer and point it upwards and hold it steady. Place one of the ping pong balls on where the air is blowing out of the hair dryer. You will need to hold the hair dryer still or it will or it will fall of the side. When you have tried one ping pong ball an the hair dryer try it again but try putting a second ball on.
How it worked:
It worked because of the air pushing it up and it doesn't go way up because of the gravity holding it down as well as the air pushing it up.
On Monday we had a flexibility test to see how good our flexibility is. We got a plastic box and stuck a wooden plank with 60 numbers. 30 negative 30 positive numbers. We tested ourselves to see how far we could get. Jon and Bostan came 3th on 5 cm negative. George and Sam came 2nd and got negative 1. I came first with 11 positive. We found some stretches on a website and printed them out and practiced them every day at fitness time. On Friday we tested our selves again like Monday to see if we had made a change with our flexibility or not. On our flexibility test I made a huge difference. I bet my score by four centimetres.
Yeeh! we all shouted as we dropped the egg into the cup. we were testing out out our science experiment. we had a cup full of water with a plastic plate on top,then a toilet roll with an egg on top. We pulled out out the plate as fast as we could and tried to make it land in the cup. The toilet paper roll with the egg on top will need to be right in the middle or it will hit the side of the cup.
“Hi I am a little green pig and I am about to tell you the story of the cat and by the way my favorite part of the boat is the starboard. It is a delightful place, isn't it? There once was a cat. The cats name was Mopy. Mopy was a pitch black cat. Mopy lived in the deep dark woods but that cat was no ordinary cat. She was not afraid of anything! Not even a mouse. He would track down tigers, moose and deer and even some black bears. She was only afraid of water. Mopy had a favorite toy. It was a little pet monkey and his name was Smopy. Mopy and Smopy were a great team together. After years and years of practice, trying to make himself not afraid of water he finally made a decision.
He was going to go out for a swim but no ordinary swim. He had a plan. He would still still get wet but not completely soaked but only some parts of her body would still get wet. He was going to make a raft, just like a yacht. He first made a raft so he could have a little experience of what it is like in a boat. He had a little paddle around he went down a river that he had never noticed before. He went down the river to have a little look what was there. He heard a loud noise coming from up ahead. He got further and further up ahead while the noise got louder and louder. He could see a clearing where the water was. He got very tired of paddling he was only About 10 metres away from it whatever it was. He looked up to see what it was. It was a huge catastrophe he was going to dye. he grabbed the paddles and rowed as hard and fast as he could he was like a maniac but the current was way too strong but it was too late he had died.
BANG!!! The kings horse tripped up on a root in the never ending forest being chased by Darth Vader’s guards. They called them the Storm Troopers. The King called William was trying to get his professor back that the dark side had captured and had great memories in him. He did get to free him and he go away safely but no;w they were trying to capture him. He remembered what his professor gave to him in the kings room. The professor said “keep this do not let any other human being touch this. It will give you all the power you have ever imagined ”.
“The horn”he remembered as he snatched it out of his belt. Honk!!!”Ho hee thats a bit loud for a horn what's going to happen now”? He wondered. He stopped his horse hoping the storm troopers weren't behind him he couldn't see them anywhere. He looked up thinking they might be there but how? He saw some horses flying up in the distance. He rubbed his eyes to see if he was dreaming but he wasn't there was actually tiny little horses with tiny white dots on them. Wow that certainly helps a lot. No wonder my professor said to keep the horn safe.
Who cares about them now and I guess the dark sides emperor will need to choose some new gardes. He saw a humongous mansion with horns playing. I’ll go have a look he thought. He went up to the mansion and there was a huge gate. “I’ll leave the horn with you. Keep it safe. I’ll try to get some bandages for your leg too”he said to his horse. “I might want to be a little careful from now on in”he said. he went in watching in all directions. There didn't seem to be anyone around. Maybe they were all up in one room right at the tippy top he thought.
The horns were getting louder and louder as he got further and further up the stairs. He kept getting more tired every step he took. Finally he got up to the top sneaking around. It was a long hallway as far as you could imagine. he was running as quiet as he could. his face was so red he thought it would blow up and he was sweating so much that he thought his face was going to become water. he could finally see the end with a little door there. He was getting closer to the the door every step he took. he finally got up to the door. He put his hand out in front of him. “Wait no” he thought.
He put hand back down by his side and put his ear up by the door softly making sure he didn't bang his head against the door because he could get caught. he was trying to listen to them but he couldn't because there was a open window somewhere. The wind kept getting louder. He tried to feel where the wind was coming from. It was coming from behind him. He turned around and all he saw was a white type robot. Oh its you the super battle droid. Right now I wish I had my sword he thought. “Now I must kill you because you know the secrets of the dark side” the droid said. “I wasn't I promise I was trying to but”he said “not buts ok” the droid said. He thought he would give him a punch yea but no. what about the horn. Oh no I left it in the bush with my horse. need something much harder than a fist. He saw the window just next to the droid but it had bars like at jail. He might be able to pull one out pretty fast fast enough so the battle droid doesn't have enough time to shoot me. I’ll be lucky if i get to pull it of. Ok here goes. He jumped and snatched out the pole with all his might and smashed the droid hard. I’ll chuck him out the window. BANG. The droid slammed down on the ground like a rocket.
He hid behind the door just incase they heard the noise from the battle droid. He heard footsteps stamping down on the ground and as soon as he knew it there was a ton of people coming out of the door with all their swords, knives and all sorts of weapons. He snuck in there where they were before and there was just a huge gold weapon and there was a piece of paper lying next to it. I’ll take the paper but not the weapon. It will be a bit heavy for my horse. He looked down on the manchon from out the window and saw heaps of stones hanging out of the mansions wall. “That will be a safe way to get down”. He whispered. He put the paper from next to the weapon in his belt where the horn was. He jumped down from the windowsill onto the first brick that was slipping out of the manchon. he go down safely but had a few slips here and there. He turned out to have a great time.
This is my maths test results for this week. Monday to Friday.
We first had to open up a spreadsheet on our drive and write down Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday and Friday on the first row. Then on the second row we put down the percentage out of twenty. we highlighted it, and right clicked and went on to graff. Hopefully you can find your way from there. It is eraser than you think. Mountain goats are white fluffy animals that like to be up in the high ranges.
The mountain goat family are very close relatives to goats, but they are not really in the goat family, they are in the antelope family. They are mammals.
Mountain goats have two layers of fur. Their fur turns yellowish in winter and the second layer falls off in summer. They have two layers on their hooves as well as their fur. They have soft pads on the first layer of their hooves then a hard pad on the second layer. The edges are harder than the middle because they use them for digging into hard rocks or ice. They have a long face with a little beard at the end on their chin. Mountain goats have black curly horns with a short tale like a sheep.
Mountain goats can get up from six foot to two meters high.Their shoulder height is 3 to 3.5 foot . Their length can get up to an amazing five feet long.mountain goats weight can get from 45.3 kg to 136 kg.
Mountain goats live from the north-western United States to Alaska. Mountain goats live on high rangers where there is lots of snow fall and it is about 8000 ft above sea level.
Mountain goats are very special to Alaska and can be very lovable creatures once you get to know them so please don't go hunting for them.
Bang!!!! My mum dumped a humongous pile of leaves, branches and supple jack next to a old shaggy tree where twigs had been blown down by the strong winds onto soft muddy ground. We were at our unties mums batch with our cousins. My mum and I were collecting up all the leaves and twigs from the tree that fall down before we got here.we were collecting it all up into one big pile and the big pieces we used for firewood. we started putting all the twigs and leaves onto our little dump that we had made. we tried bouncing on the dump to squish it all down, and we found that it was a little bouncy. We snapped a few sticks off the tree and put them on to make it even more bouncy. It slowly got bigger and bigger.We added a few more bamboo on and another layer of leaves to cover the bamboo just to give it a finishing touch.
“If you be good this week I might take you hunting” my dad would say. My dad has dirty black short scruffy hair, he is 6 feet tall,has green eyes and his hands are as big as dinner plates. He has light yellow teeth with light tan skin. Every morning he gets his work shirt on with a singlet underneath if it’s cold. He wears some dark blue shorts and although he comes home smelling like sweat he showers every day.Sometimes he can get really angry like when he gets sick of telling us to do the same thing all the time.
He always tells us to do the same thing all the time. It is sad that we can not play with him time because he is always working which is sad. He can get really angry and grumpy sometimes because we don’t listen to him. When we are on special occasions like going to the beach he is really nice to us by buying us ice creams.
When we go hunting my dad normally leads the way because it is pitch black, we don't use torches because it will scare the deer away. We can not see and there might be a hole or a big mud puddle. You just never know. I am always getting ready for an dangerous adventure. We always get back to the tent late because we are only focused on shooting a deer.We whisper to each other because we think we see a deer and we cheek it with the scope which are kind of like a pair of binoculars.
Whenever my dads friend Tim comes over you can really spot his interests are. Whenever my dad and tim are skinning the deer I always get my pocket knife out and ask if I can help but sadly it never works. A couple of days ago three of our guns got stolen but now he has one good gun that is worth all three of the guns .Now he tries harder not to lose this one we have this cup that

This term Mrs Morton came to teach usart. we learnt how to do lots of different skills with painting and drawing. for painting we learnt smooth/even,dry brush,glaze/wash,outline and blending. We also learnt how to go from shade-dark to tint-light.For drawing we did quite a lot of different textures that we knew like thin/thick lines, straight lines, wavy,dark,light,hatching, cross hatching, detail, form and atmosphere. one we had finished learning all that we painted a painting of the mountains. Mrs Morton painted a demonstration for us and here is what my painting looks like
I liked running around the lake best because its fun going over and around obstacles.
Research
The length of this walk is:1.14km.the very highest of this is: 626m and the lowest point of this walk is :580m but that is still is pretty high. the time at lake Kiriopukae sunrise is 7:23 and sunset is 16:56. it is a 45 minute return.
On the 27/5/2013 we were on a school trip with our class room 17 at Camp Kaitawa. This day of camp we we were going on a walk to a lake called Lake Kiriopukae and we ran around it.
Next time.....
Next time I would like to try to climb a bigger rocks and and I would like to try to run around a bigger lake in a faster time. I enjoyed pacing myself against John and Daniel and trying to beat them.
By the way, you should try running around lake Kiriopukae it's real fun.
Hypothermia!!!!!
Intro
Hypothermia is a thing that makes you so cold that you could freeze and die.
How?
Hyperthymia happens when when your temperature is way below normal causing the blood to slow your body and your nerves down. Your body temperature is normally 37 Degrees celsius. If you have dropped down to 35 degrees celsius or below you are hyperthermic. This can happen when someone falls through the ice into some cold icy water . Your body starts to lose heat faster than it can produce it.

What happens?
When hypothermia begins a person starts shivering and can't stop.The person cannot do complicated things with his or her hands like pretending to play the piano on the tree. The person might feel sick and very tired wanting to go to sleep anywhere. Sometimes a person will feel suddenly warm as if they are getting better but this means they are getting worse. They are also can not touch their thumb with their little finger, because their muscles stop working. They might not be able to see things clearly.
How to stop hypothermia ?
call a helicopter if you are in the bush
Replace wet clothes with dry clothes
if you have lots of layers of clothes on give them some of your clothes but not all because then you might get hypothermia
Please try not to get hypothermia so we do not lose peoples lives. so wear nice dry clothes.

WOW!!! look at that we are not even in the aquarium and it looks cool and big.I wonder what has changed since last time we came here when I was 4.I can not wait till we get inside that place it is going to be awesome. we paid the person at the counter and I asked mum how much did that cost “65 dollars” she said. Wow that is a lot of money I said but I think it’s worth it.
First we went up stairs to the dinosaurs “AHHHHHHHHH” I said there is a dinosaur in here. I want to go in to the next room. Oh it is just a fake dinosaur. I had a look at the dinosaur and said those eyes look real.
We went in to the next room it was full of fish. Fish,fish and more fish. First I saw some huge fish and then some tiny little fish about 5 mm. Wow they are small. We went round the corner and there was some drawers there. I wonder what is in there I thought. Maybe some skulls of fish that would awesome! Oh they are only shells. There was long shells,short shells,fat shells and skinny shells.We went into the next room the first thing I saw was pirana AHHHHHHHHH!!! I SCREAMED .
Bang!!! I smashed the soccer ball into the goal. My mates shouted “Nice Cameron!” Beep, the whistle blew. I ran to the ball and started kicking the ball to the goal. Oh no I have a bad feeling about this. Its the big guy . I was getting ready to beat up this guy up. I was getting very close but then the whistle blew beep, "haa" I said to myself I wonder what in the world just happened. oh I said my team mate got hurt. He tripped up on his foot. are you alright Kory I said no not really. Lukey that wasn't the end of the game. Kory kicked the ball as hard as he could it went in the goal. Yay we all shouted. We were winning but we were all tired so we couldn't win I tried to get another goal but our team was down. We were stuffed. From now to the end the other team got five goals.I was sure we were going to lose. in the end we lost. the score was 6 3.
The two youngest Pevensie children, Lucy and Edmund, are staying with their odious cousin Eustace Scrubb while their older brother Peter is studying for his university entrance exams with Professor Kirke, and their older sister Susan is traveling through America with their parents. Edmund, Lucy, and Eustace are drawn into the Narnian world through a picture of a ship at sea. (The painting, hanging neglected in the guest bedroom that the Pevensie children were using, had been an unwanted present to Eustace's parents.) The three children land in the ocean near the pictured vessel, the titular Dawn Treader, and are taken aboard.
The Dawn Treader is the ship of Caspian X, King of Narnia, who was the key character in the previous book (Prince Caspian). Edmund and Lucy (along with Peter and Susan) helped him gain the throne from his evil uncle Miraz.
Three years have passed since then, peace has been established in Narnia, and Caspian has undertaken a quest in fulfillment of hiscoronation oath to find the seven lost Lords of Narnia. Lucy and Edmund are delighted to be back in the Narnian world, but Eustace is less enthusiastic, as he has never been there before and had taunted his cousins with his belief that this alternate universe had never existed. The Talking Mouse Reepicheep is also on board, as he hopes to find Aslan's Country beyond the seas of the "utter East".
They first make landfall in the Lone Islands, nominally Narnian territory but fallen away from Narnian ways: in particular the slave tradeflourishes here, despite Narnian law stating that it is forbidden. Caspian, Lucy, Edmund, Eustace and Reepicheep are captured as merchandise by a slave trader, and a man "buys" Caspian before they even reach the slave market. He turns out to be the first lost lord, Lord Bern, who moved to the islands and married a woman there after being banished from Narnia by Miraz. When Caspian reveals his identity, Bern acknowledges him as King. Caspian reclaims the islands for Narnia, and replaces Gumpas, the greedy governor, with Lord Bern, whom he names Duke of the Lone Islands.
At the second island they visit, Eustace leaves the group to avoid participating in the work needed to render the ship seaworthy after a storm has damaged it, and hides in a dead dragon's cave to escape a sudden downpour. The dragon's treasure arouses his greed: he fills his pockets with gold and jewels and puts on a large golden bracelet; but as he sleeps, he is transformed into a dragon. As a dragon, he becomes aware of how bad his previous behaviour was, and uses his strength to help make amends. Caspian recognizes the bracelet: it belonged to Lord Octesian, another of the lost lords. They speculate that the dragon killed Octesian — or even that the dragon was Octesian. Aslan turns Eustace back into a boy, and as a result of his experiences he is now a much nicer person.
They make stops at Burnt Island; at Deathwater Island (so named for a pool of water which turns everything immersed in it into gold, including one of the missing lords who turns out to have been Lord Restimar); at the Duffers' Island, where Lucy herself encounters Aslan; and at the Island Where Dreams Come True — called the Dark Island since it is permanently hidden in darkness. They rescue a desperate Lord Rhoop from this last. Eventually they reach the Island of the Star, where they find the three remaining lost lords in enchanted sleep. Ramandu, the fallen star who lives on the island, tells them that the only way to awaken them is to sail to the edge of the world and there to leave one member of the crew behind.
The Dawn Treader continues sailing into an area where merpeople dwell and the water turns sweet rather than salty. At last the water becomes so shallow that the ship can go no farther. Caspian orders a boat lowered and announces that he will go to the world's end with Reepicheep. The crew object, saying that as King of Narnia he has no right to abandon them. Caspian goes to his cabin in a temper, but returns to say that Aslan appeared in his cabin and told him that only Lucy, Edmund, Eustace, and Reepicheep will go on.
These four named venture in a small boat through a sea of lilies until they reach a wall of water that extends into the sky. Fulfilling Ramandu's condition, Reepicheep paddles his coracle up the waterfall and is never again seen in Narnia (Lewis hints that he reaches Aslan's Country). Edmund, Eustace, and Lucy find a Lamb, who transforms into Aslan and tells them that Edmund and Lucy will not return to Narnia – that they should learn to know him by another name in their own world (as Lewis explicitly stated, Aslan is howJesus manifests Himself in Narnia). He then sends the children home.
In their own world, everyone remarks on how Eustace has changed and "you'd never know him for the same boy" - although his mother believes that Edmund and Lucy have been a bad influence on him
This is my cat, Brian, and she likes chasing a red dot. We've been doing this for about two weeks. When we've finished playing we put the laser on the ball of string for about 10 seconds and she starts playing with the string. It's funny when she bounces over the basket.

BANG!!! my cat jumped onto a pile of wood and all of the wood came crashing down onto the ground. as soon as I saw my cat Brian I grab my best but it wasn't working then I tried my second laser and it worked so I got my laser and shone it right next to her. as soon as she saw it she bolted to the other side of the room to catch the dot. she was sprinting around the lounge for about ten minutes.she was going everywhere she even jumped on the TV ‘that was kinda weird. she climbed on my bunk bed and jumped off my bed landing face first. ‘I said ouch that would of hurt’. I decided I wouldn't do that anymore because I didn't want to hurt Brian
Splash!!! A giant wave crashed down on me. I could taste the sea salt running down my throat. When I got out I could feel the soft hot sand rubbing against my bare feet. As I swim out I see a big hole in the distance. I walk up to it and I see how deep it is. It is 1.2 metres deep. I run to tell Charlotte and Megan. We jump into the deep hole and play there for a little bit. We cover up a little pond at the bottom of the hole. It is getting late so I decide to get out and go play in the playground. I hear the waves crashing down on the beach. I'm running towards it and I see a boat and I wonder what it is. There is a springy surfboard and I use it as a diving board. I leap off the end of it. The 5th time I jump off the surfboard as I am going to do it again I see a flying fox. I sprint up the stairs to the flying fox. As I put my ear up against the pole that's holding it up I hear a squeaking noise. Dad calls out "CAM, IT'S DINNER TIME!"
